ISF role: leader with the collaboration of “CittadinanzAttiva” and “Mondo Donna onlus”
Work-Lab was born from the collaboration of Informatici Senza Frontiere with some realities of the Bolognese area to respond to the training needs of the asylum-seeking, refugee population and resident foreigners in general.
It is a support space for those who are studying Italian, waiting for an answer for documents or looking for a job.
It is a digital training hub, to learn how you can use your smartphone to protect your documents, look for work, find your way around the area and interact with public administration services.
At Work-Lab no one is a foreigner, the activities are conducted in several languages to make the training path as inclusive as possible. We speak Italian, English, French, Arabic, Turkish, Spanish and Pidgin.
In addition to the training service and accompaniment towards the autonomous active search for work, there is a space with computer and Wi-Fi available for those who want to come and look for a job or learn to use the PC or study computer programming.
The results to date have been encouraging: 42% of those who accessed Work-Lab found work in an active and autonomous way, while 52% were able to obtain at least one job interview, always in an active and autonomous way.
